No less than actress, artist, and empowered woman -- Heart Evangelista is Metro Society's first woman to be on the men's issue cover.
It’s that time of the year again when Metro Society produces one of the most anticipated issues of the year—the men’s issue— but this time, it shakes things up and do something special to mark its 15th year history for the theme, a woman is on its cover —no less than actress, artist, and empowered woman Heart Evangelista.
In an exclusive story, Heart opens her home and speaks her mind as she shares her journey in finding her voice, and in the process, finding herself. Showing a side of herself that is only beginning to reveal itself now, she talks candidly about her romance and marriage to Senator Chiz Escudero, which awakened her as a modern woman, their relationship pushing boundaries and walls of the world that she had first come to know.
“Since I am a woman, our culture expects you to stay at home, take care of the kids, and nothing else—not really to dream and do what you need to do. So having a husband who’s very modern, who tells me to come and see the world, and doesn’t mind if I work. It’s amazing,” she told writer and Metro editor-in-chief Geolette Esguerra.
Following the cover and inside the main features, Metro Society goes big as it puts together two special mainstay features to its Men’s Issue: the Best Dressed list and Men In Suits. Now on its 15th year, the Best Dressed list has been expanded to become a very special multi-platform campaign, and is an extensive list of 50 of the most well-dressed men in town.
Headlining the feature are ten men who had been handpicked for their signature style and flair for fashion: Donnie Tantoco, Kelly See, Michael Concepcion, Rick Yupangco, Mond Gutierrez, Piolo Pascual, Raul Francisco, Z Teo, JM Lagdameo, and Anton del Rosario.
An interesting edition of Men In Suits follows as the magazine focuses this year on brothers. Come to know the unbreakable bonds of brotherhood, and celebrate it with Metro Society’s collection of portraits of brothers and the stories of getting older (and wiser) together.
Also in this issue are fantastic fashion stories featuring Van Laack and Louis Vuitton, as well as the lowdown on some must-have accessories and style tips in the men’s section. For beauty lovers, sink your toes in azure waters and get first peek at the Tom Ford Beauty Soleil 2018 Collection, available on counters this month.
For those going out and about, take a look inside the first ever Nespresso boutique in the country located at Power Plant Mall, and dine in the new Podium’s Wolfgang.
