"Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit" wins hearts of viewers nationwide

More Filipinos tuned in to the pilot episode of the newest  Kapamilya series, "Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit" last Monday (March 25) morning,instantly captivating viewers as it scored a national TV rating of 15.8%compared to “Hiram Na Anak” which only got 8.9%, according to data from Kantar Media. 

 

"Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit" also conquered social networking sites such as Twitter where the hashtag #NNALUnangNgiti became a nationwide trending topic. Netizens were happy to see Kaye Abad again on television after her last series, "Two Wives."

 

According to @erareinamarie, "@rkbagatsing 's character is still flawed but less the evil and psycho tendencies. Technically, he's following the same route as that of Coco Martin. From kontrabida to bida. After all these years, Kaye Abad still manages to pull off the 'simpleng ganda' and natural acting. #NNALUnangNgiti

 

Twitter user@olimarletrero_ expressed, "Kaye Abad's return in noontime is so impressive. From her acting skills and her drama scenes, she is super great.#NNALUnangNgiti."

 

@RJM_3080 cannot contain his feelings, saying, "I need to watch on TV starting tomorrow! It's hard to cry and shout while watching Kaye in the fight scene,  I almost threw my phone. #NNALUnangNgiti"

In the first episode, Ella (Kaye), the illegitimate daughter of the David, the patriarch of the Salvadors, saw how the rift between her family and the Villaluna started. The disagreement between the two families intensified whenElla’s father was killed by David.

 

But over time, Ella fell in love with the eldest of the Villalunas, Michael (RK Bagatsing), who did not leave her side.

 

However she did not expect that their love wouldresult to her brother's death after Michael accidentally shot Eric (Rafa Siguion-Reyna).
