The tragic story of a young woman who is molested by and contracts a sexually transmitted disease from a man who has long desired her gets uncovered this Saturday (May 11) in “Ipaglaban Mo.”
Abi (Meg Imperial) is a responsible woman who helps her mother by being a band vocalist and a waitress in a pubhouse they own. Having big dreams for her family, she strives hard in her studies to give them a bright future.
She is not alone in facing life’s struggles, having Hans (Jerome Ponce), her long-time boyfriend, by her side at all times. They eventually decide to get married, but despite her overflowing love for Hans, Abi remains firm on her decision not to engage into any sexual act until after their wedding day.
But one day, Mark (AJ Muhlach), Abi’s co-band member, forces himself on her and sexually abuses her. Making matters worse, she contracts gonorrhea from her assailant, putting her health at risk.
Despite the traumatizing pain, Abi, with her boyfriend Hans, will exhaust all resources to pin down Mark and make him pay for the crime he committed.
How will Abi get the justice she deserves?
