As more and more users stream iWant’s line-up of originals, the streaming service is leaning into a spectrum of different genres with its new, star-studded original movies, series, and documentaries laced with grit, wit, and spice, as revealed at ABS-CBN’s #ForeverKapamilya trade event that happened Tuesday recently.

Upcoming comedy series “Call Me Tita,” which drops in August, showcased its roster of seasoned actresses Agot Isidro, Angelica Panganiban, Cherry Pie Picache, Joanna Ampil, and Mylene Dizon, who lit up the stage with a banging performance of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” The series revolves around the lives of five different middle-aged women searching for new experiences, purpose, and acceptance despite their age.

The trade event also showed a teaser of “Kadenang Ginto” co-stars Beauty Gonzalez and Seth Fedelin’s horror series “Abandoned,” where they portray mother and son. Beauty plays a security guard who finds herself plagued with evil spirits, which she unintentionally brings home, affecting her precious son.

The acclaimed gritty socio-political action drama series “Bagman” also gets a second season, this time with Carlo Aquino diving into the web of politics and corruption.

Also adding to iWant’s wide range of content is Derek Ramsay and Jessy Mendiola’s first team-up in the action-drama film “Mga Mata sa Dilim,” while Elisse Joson headlines “You Have Arrived,” a film that revolves around the repercussions of social media.

Aside from these, iWant also unveiled a twisted family drama with Rio Locsin and Markus Paterson called “Kargo,” the Iza Calzado-starrer “Loving Emily,” a more mature Zaijian Jaranilla in “Story of My Life,“ and an enterprising Barbie Imperial in “Taiwan That You Love.”

iWant users can also expect two documentary series – one about the TNT Boys titled “TNT Boys: Journey to the World Stage,” and another one about the historical film “Quezon’s Game” and Jewish people living in the country called “The Last Manilaners: A Quezon’s Game Documentary.”

Aside from housing the biggest library of Filipino content, iWant has produced 23 original movies and series month after month since its launch in November 2018 – setting itself apart from other streaming platforms and changing the landscape of Filipino entertainment and digital content.

iWant’s roster of upcoming originals can get its users pumped up, after its previously launched series and movies were welcomed with positive reviews and word-of-mouth endorsements, notably “Glorious,” “Bagman,” “Past, Present, Perfect?,” “MOMOL Nights,” “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3: The Real Untold Story of Josephine Bracken,” and “Mga Batang Poz.”
