Jayda’s music video for her single “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?,” which also served as her directorial debut, bagged the Best Music Video award at the International Film Festival Manhattan (IFFM) 2021.

In a pre-recorded award acceptance speech, the music royalty expressed appreciation to the New York-based independent film festival for the recognition and thanked the people involved in the music video’s production.

“I’d like to give thanks on behalf of my co-director Edrex Clyde Sanchez, his team ECS Films, my label Star Music, and everybody involved in this project. We appreciate this recognition of our hard work and passion,” she said.

Jayda also voiced gratitude to ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan and the people who constantly support her and promised that her directing endeavors have only just begun.

Meanwhile, a complementary achievement for her IFFM 2021 win is the “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?” music video reaching one million views on YouTube. In the emotionally charged video, the Kapamilya singer-songwriter is paired with former “PBB: Otso” housemate Rhys Miguel.

Aside from “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?,” her music video for “M.U. (Malabong Usapan)” which she starred in with fellow ABS-CBN talent Francine Diaz, was also nominated in IFFM 2021’s Best Music Video category.

Jayda continues her streak of success this 2021, following the staging of her first-ever major concert and the release of her debut studio album “Bahagi.” With an international feat added to her belt, she joins fellow artists who are making a name in the global music scene as ABS-CBN continues to introduce outstanding Filipino talents to the world stage.
