Kabayan visits 400 cats and dogs in Bulacan shelter this Sunday

Everyday feels like Halloween at the homes of Katrina Cruz and Torr Mercolito as they show off their diverse collection of horror figures and items this Sunday (October 16) on “KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan.”

Katrina’s interest in collecting these scary objects stemmed from her and her mother’s niche for watching horror films. In fact, because of this, she claimed that she feels lost spirits lurking around her home. Meanwhile, aside from horror figures, Torr enjoys collecting imported masks, especially rare find items.

The “KBYN” team also visited Pawssion Project, an animal shelter in Bulacan that houses around 400 dogs and cats. Malou Perez shared that she opened the shelter because she felt pity towards these animals, which were supposed to be killed in the pound. She nursed these animals back to health, some of which were in dire conditions because of injuries inflicted by their previous owners. Meanwhile, polio-stricken garbage dealer Alfredo Belas shared his inspiring story of strength and determination as he continues to provide for his wife, who is also a PWD. He uses his hands to pedal his side car and goes from house to house to collect junk.

Watch these stories on “KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan” this Sunday (October 16) at 5PM on A2Z, TeleRadyo, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, youtube.com/ABSCBNNews and news.abs-cbn.com/live.
