As an advocate for early childhood development, Rina has been at the forefront of leveraging multimedia resources to enhance learning through the Knowledge Channel, reaching millions of Filipino children, particularly in underserved communities.
“I have been fortunate to work with passionate individuals, dedicated partners, and organizations who have shared their time, knowledge, and strength. Together, we have brought hope to underserved communities, empowered teachers, and created content that goes beyond traditional learning,” she said.
The National Teachers College recognized Rina as a champion of nation-building through education, bringing quality education to all, especially in rural areas through Knowledge Channel's programs, in line with International Women’s History Month and the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
Rina has also become a key figure in shaping national educational policy as a Standing Committee member for Early Childhood Care and Development & Basic Education in the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM2).
