Doing Big Things

You could see how Joshua’s eyes lit up when he said, “Wow! Gusto ko pa naman maging Chef!” (Wow! It has been a dream of mine to be a Chef someday!) He uttered those words with excitement as they were about to enter a fast-food restaurant where they will be taught how to make burgers.

Joshua Desierto was very attentive when the crews were telling them what to do. He was one of the 47 children from Southville 7 in Calauan, Laguna who had fun and educational role-play experience at KidZania Manila, done through one of its program dubbed as KidZania para sa Bantay Bata during its Paskong Kai Saya celebration.

KidZania Manila sold star-shapped capiz ornament for 350.00php in which proceeds of the ornaments were equivalent to the entrance of the children

Its State Governor, Maricel Pangilinan-Arenas said, “Ibang-iba ang pakiradamam ‘pag nakikita mo ang mga bata na natutuwa, namamangha at talagang masaya, masaya sila dito. Kaya we are very privilege and we are very humble that we can serve the Filipino child and Filipino family in this way.” (It’s a unique feeling to see the children happy and amazed. That is why we are very privilege and we are very humble that we can serve the Filipino child and Filipino family in this way.)

In KidZania, kids do not only enjoy playing but they also get to learn from role-playing on different from careers. “Thank you po dahil nagenjoy po kami,” (We are thankful to KidZania because we enjoyed this day.) Joshua enthused. “'Yung mga tinuro po kanina sa paggawa ng burger, simula na po ‘yun para mas matuto ako kung paano maging isang Chef!” (I think learning how to create burgers can be the start of me, seeing myself being a Chef someday!) he added.
