After showing us the courage and dedication of a firefighter and an emergency responder, anchor Jeff Canoy shines the light on the life of an emergency room doctor as “Red Alert” continues its month-long celebration of its fifth anniversary.

This Wednesday (March 20), Jeff meets 40-year old Dr. Leila Narag of Tondo Medical Center, a hospital that serves not just Manila residents but also those from nearby communities. Each day, their emergency room is filled with patients, requiring her to multitask to make sure each one gets proper assistance and treatment.

Dr. Leila decided to pursue a career in medicine after an unforgettable experience during her childhood, when they brought her sick father to the hospital. Jeff finds out what keeps her motivated to work despite the long hours of duty and the stressful environment in the hospital while still being able to be a good mom to her child.

Red Alert,” which first aired in ABS-CBN in March 2014, aims to inform and educate Filipinos on how to prevent and deal with life-threatening situations brought about by crime, accidents, and natural disasters so that they can protect themselves and their families. Jeff, a multiawarded journalist and documentarist, took over as anchor of the program in 2017.Don’t miss the anniversary special of “Red Alert” every Wednesday of March at 9:30 pm on DZMM TeleRadyo and after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
