Singapore Airlines marks its 11th year of Support to Bantay Edukasyon.
The partnership started in 2003. What meant to be 6-year partnership that will provide less fortunate and deserving children access to quality education has now reached its 11th year. According to Rita Dy, Manager for Marketing Communications & Services of SIA, they are happy to see how the scholarship has worked for the children and this motivated them to further support year after year.
Meanwhile, the scholars are very grateful to Singapore Airlines for giving them the opportunity of proper education. "Nararamdaman ko po na mahalaga kami para sa kanila. Kaya po pagbubutihin ko po ang aking pagaaral." (I feel our importance to them. I will do well in my studies because of that) said Liza, one of the scholars of SIA for 3 years. As of the moment SIA has 88 scholars under Bantay Edukasyon.
"We want to give back to the community and are glad that we have embarked into this education program with Bantay Bata 163 " said Mr Ranjan Jha, General Manager Philippines, Singapore Airlines.
