ART within her Heart: Martina Marie Manalo’s Masterpiece
"I see beauty in the things that are minimal but avant-garde, deep but subtle, the nostalgic, melancholic, but full of angst--contradicting but by bits and pieces they are different, and will always be mysterious. That I think is what make things beautiful,"said Martina Manalo, painter and photographer.
Passion to Compassion
Martina had had no second thoughts in helping people, she used her talent in painting and photography to earn money for people who are really in need.
“Nung maliit pa kasi si Martina kapag naglalakad kami may nakikita kaming mga bata na mga nakakaawa. So sabi niya mama paglaki ko at may work na ako, I want to help those children,” said Ma. Ruth Manalo, mother of Marissa.
