ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation’s child welfare program, Bantay Bata 163, together with Serenata, recently inked its partnership in providing hope of a better future for children through the gift of education. The partnership also became an opportunity for Serenata to meet their current and past scholars whom they have touched lives.

Serenata, one of the long-term partners of Bantay Bata 163, also turned over its donation to Bantay Edukayon. Recently, they held a concert in American International School of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to raise funds for college scholars. This year, they pledge to help 4 scholars in their whole 4-year tertiary education.

So lahat ‘to, galing sa puso ika nga. Kaya nga grateful at nagpapasalamat kami sa Bantay Bata siyempre sa support nila samin. At sila yung stewards namin, sila iyong aming katiwala para i-distribute nang tama iyong halagang nalilikom  tuwing mayroong concert ang Serenata.”  shared by Melvin Alejo, chairman of Serenata.

(There is this satisfying feeling that motivates us especially when we see that our scholars are already graduating. It’s fulfilling. This motivates us to prepare for the concerts. Our efforts come from the heart. We are also grateful to Bantay Bata for their support to us. They serve as our steward in distributing well the funds that we raised for our Filipino children through our concerts.)

(Education is the greatest thing that we need to attain because it gives us the hope to eradicate poverty. From now on, I am more motivated to pursue my studies. I am happy and I will make sure that their help will not go to waste.)

For almost 15 years, Serenata has funded over 120 scholars and has produced 27 college graduates.

With your help, Bantay Bata 163 will continue to uphold its mission in creating a better world for children.
