Alaska Milk Corporation’s Corporate Affairs Team recently visited the Children’s Village of Bantay Bata 163 – a program of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya which ensures child welfare and development.

The team toured around the Village where they got the chance to socialize and interact with the children. The kids even performed confidently as they showcased their singing and dancing skills to entertain the guests. Alaska also conducted a feeding activity where the children enjoyed the surprise appearance of Jollibee.

The Children’s Village is a halfwayhome for children rescued by Bantay Bata 163, who experienced physical and emotional abuse. The Village provides a place of solace for children to heal and recover from the abusive environment to become better individuals.

According to Atty. Maria Angela Esquivel, the Corporate Affairs Director of Alaska, they want to be an effective partner in nation building by looking for possible opportunities to provide the needs of the children.

With this, Alaska will donate more than 10,000 pieces of milk products to help in ensuring the health and well-being of the children of Bantay Bata 163. The products are scheduled to be turned overon the last week of February 2019.

Last year, Alaska also partnered with Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation’s Bantay Kalikasan by signing an agreement about the company’s proper disposal of used lead-acid batteries from their vehicles and used industrial oil from their industrial plant under its Bantay Baterya and Bantay Langis project.

Alaska is known for their nutritious yet affordable milk for everyone. Their commitment to provide the immediate needs of Filipino children and proper disposal of their hazardous wastes is a testament that they are strengthening their slogan to empower the nation through their social responsibility programs.
