Bantay Kalikasan Joins the 18th Recyclables Collection 2017

In celebration of Philippine Clean Air Month, Clark Development Corporation recently held its 18th Recyclables Collection Event in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Clark Development Corporation, in collaboration with the Environmental Permits Department, Environmental Practitioners Association and DENR-EMB R III, lead the event with a purpose of raising people's awareness about the importance of recycling to address the country's waste problem.

Rogelio Magat, Manager of Environmental Permits Division, Clark Freeport Philippines, said that this event also informs various small and medium business establishments on proper hazardous waste management. 

Quest Hotel turned over assorted used batteries, used oils, and cartons. “This is the third year of the said company donating to Bantay Kalikasan through the annual recyclables collection event. The advocacy of the company is about social responsibility. This does not involve only charitable institutions but also protecting and helping as well as the environment.”, Ana Laguerta, Quest Hotel Manager, enthused. 

A total of 422 pieces of used lead acid batteries and 15,132 kgs. were donated to the Bantay Baterya Project of ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc.’s Bantay Kalikasan.  The monetary value collected after its partners, International Marketing and Oriental & Motolite Marketing, recycle or properly dispose the hazardous wastes, will be used by Bantay Kalikasan for its environmental efforts nationwide.

ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya has been actively participating in the annual recyclable collection event for four years now.
