“We are looking forward to be able to educate more people through the artists, and sending the message of environmental stewardship to more people of different ages and different backgrounds. I think artists are in a very unique position to be able to do that.”

This is what Jen Deomano-Santos, Program Director of Bantay Kalikasan, emphasized during the Vloggers Conference of One Paradise-Puno ng Musika: A Tree Planting Gig at the La Mesa Ecopark this coming July 27, 2019. This concert for a cause is organized by One Music PH for the benefit of Bantay Kalikasan, the environmental arm of ABS-CBN Foundation that provides sustainable livelihood and promotes environmental stewardship in the country.

One Paradise promotes music as a great tool to raise awareness and to educate people on various environmental matters that need to be addressed. Music is a powerful platform that can influence, inspire and touch people.

On their first leg in 2018, they promoted Beach Cleanup in La Union followed by their promotion of Responsible Beach Partying the following year. These events sought to educate people to minimize the use of single-use plastic.

This year, they are holding this special concert to promote and raise awareness on the importance of the forests. The La Mesa watershed is the only remaining forest of its size in Metro Manila.

“We're here not just to entertain you, but also to help you. Ganoon din siyempre ang buong bansa natin kasi naniniwala po kami that the Philippines is a one-true paradise”, Joy Mesina, Editor-In-Chief of One Music PH enthused.

For years, Bantay Kalikasan has been rehabilitating the La Mesa Watershed. Protecting it now will not just help us today, but can also guarantee us a good future.

Jen Santos concluded the event with an inspiring message, “I hope that you feel the need to use your talent - your voice because there is a message that needs to be sent out. We are grateful that you have chosen the cause of the environment.”

Hulo, Davey Langit, Acel, Trisha Denise, JMKO, RJ Agustin, and Sam Mangubat were the Filipino musical artists who were present on the conference. They will also be performing at the Puno ng Musika together with AC Bonifacio, and Maris Racal.

Each ticket costs Php 650 and comes with a free shirt. You can visit http://Bit.ly/PunoNgMusika for your inquiries.

Together, let us all be an ally for environmental stewardship and preservation!
