ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya once again bagged three major awards at the recent 2018 Lopez Achievement Awards (LAA) recently held at Studio 10 of ABS-CBN Corporation.

Two programs emerged as winners under the Public Responsibility category namely; Bantay Bata 163: The Hope at the End of the Line and; Bantay Kalikasan’s Kwento ng Pagbangon: The Transformation of Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp.

We also would like to thank those who have helped us and who will continue to help us dahil hindi madali ang trabahong hinaharap ng Bantay Bata [163],” Jing Castaneda – Velasco, Bantay Bata 163 Program Director, articulated.

“We came in here knowing that the real objective is to tell the story of Bantay Kalikasan and the story of Sabang Daguitan... Masayang – Masaya kaming nagiging part kami ng journey ng komunidad and that to us is already a win. Iba kasi kapag Kapamilya mo ang nagsabing, ‘Good job!’ diba? Nakakataba iyon ng puso,” Jen Santos, Bantay Kalikasan Program Director, shared.

Operation Sagip’s No Delays: Improving Relief Operations by Tapping Local Suppliers and Private Partnerships was also a finalist under the Operations Management Category.

Another highlight of the evening was the awarding of the LAA Unsung Hero given to Jose Pascual, Jr., Project Supervisor of La Mesa Watershed – another project under Bantay Kalikasan.

Pascual has served the watershed for the past 18 years. He is one of the strong men who ensured the survival of trees planted at the La Mesa Watershed. He took care of the seedlings or the baby trees as he supervised the Nursery Management.

The Lopez Achievement Award recognizes outstanding teams and employees from the Lopez Group of Companies who epitomize excellence and the Lopez values of pioneering entrepreneurial spirit, business excellence, unity, nationalism, social justice, integrity, and employee welfare and wellness.
