Meet Chalk's Bright Young Manila 2019 finalists

Get to know Chalk's Bright Young Manila finalists and their advocacies!

See them up close at Chalk Beauty Fair this August


Chalk.ph has unveiled the 12 young individuals who can redefine what it means to be game-changers as finalists for the Bright Young Manila 2019.
 
The list is composed of an impressive roster of youth from the different campuses in the Metro—who are all equally-passionate, purpose driven, authentic, inspirational and influential.
 
Get to know the #ChalkBYM2019 finalists:
 
1. Dominique "Mika" Reyes
 
De La Salle University Marketing Management student Mika aims to create an educational platform that will pave the way for equal opportunities for all sexualities.
 
2. Eugenie Marie Dominique "Eunice" Evangelista
 
At age 22, Eunice is already a speech pathologist and a gymnastics coach. She also advocates for the inclusion of children with special needs.
 
3. Kate Reyes
 
Kate is a fresh Journalism grad from the University of Sto. Tomas. She is most interested in sports, fashion and literature, and advocates for social inclusion.
 
4. Phoebe Nicole Jaravata Fructuoso
 
Phoebe majors in Export Management at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. She aims to shed light on topics such as women empowerment and mental health.
 
5. Maryruth Roven "Mary" Maximo
 
Twenty-year old Mary serves as the president of Taguig's SK Federation. With this, she is most passionate about empowering the youth to participate in community-related activities and of course, good governance.
 
6. Ma. Cielito Bianca "Bea" Javate
 
The youngest of the group, 18-year old Bea currently studies at the Ateneo de Manila University. She seeks to empower the youth’s self-esteem in this digital age.
 
7. Rafael "Raffu" Yuchingtat
 
Youngest among the guys, 19-year old Raffu takes up Premed Physics at the De La Salle University. He enjoys bodybuilding, basketball, and studying—and is an advocate of quality education.
 
8. Laurence Jason Noel "Santi" Santiano
 
Santi, a UP Diliman student, likes singing, dancing and gaming. As such, he wants to speak out against the stigma around gaming and gamers.
 
9. El Roi Joseph Avena
 
As an Arts Management student at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, Roi wants to help the youth discover their passion for the arts which he said can help them "make better of themselves."
 
10. Ryan Anthony Racela
 
Ryan currently works as a radio DJ at Magic 89.9. He loves music, film and animals, and is passionate about living life to the fullest.
 
11. Sean Patric Alejandrino Dandasan
 
A Speech Communication student at UP Diliman, 21-year old Sean advocates for the acceptance of non-traditional families. He also voices support for the abused individuals from broken homes.
 
12. Raven Karl Pedron
 
Colegio de San Juan de Letran Communication student Raven is also the supervising officer of the World Championships of Performing Arts in the Philippines. He has his eyes set on empowering student artists.
 
The 12 candidates will go through mentorship trainings, experiential learnings, promotional activities and vlogging challenges to determine who will emerge as the #BrightestinMNL.
