SKYcable brings the world’s most renowned musical acts and sports stars in a one-of-a kind, worldwide televised concert dubbed as ‘One World: Together at Home Concert,' which will be aired live this Sunday (April 19), at 8 AM on the beIN Sports 1 channel and National Geographic Channel.
Oscar-winner Lady Gaga, together with the World Health Organisation (WHO), and international advocacy organization Global Citizen have enlisted famous singers and top caliber athletes like Chris Martin, David Beckham, Elton John, John Legend, Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Kerry Washington, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan, Stevie Wonder for one night to celebrate and support brave healthcare workers doing life-saving work on the front lines.
Aside from the first round of artists, Taylor Swift, Celine Dion, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, Usher, Pharrell Williams and Oprah Winfrey will also participate in the said event.
Lady Gaga said that the two-hour concert is not a fund-raising event and that they have already raised more than $35 million to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The concert aims to uplift the many people who are battling COVID-19 in these times and to raise awareness of WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
"We want to raise the money before we go on air. When we do go on air, put your wallets away, your credit cards away, and enjoy the show," she shared during an at-home live stream.
Hosted by Jimmy Fallon of ‘The Tonight Show,’ Jimmy Kimmel of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, and Stephen Colbert, the "One World: Together At Home" airs LIVE this April 19 (Sunday), at 8 AM, with a same day replay at 11 PM on beIN Sports 1 (HD 204 for Metro Manila, Camanava; HD 767 in Cebu, Davao, Bacolod and Iloilo or on National Geographic (HD 195 | SD 41 for Metro Manila and Camanava; HD 723 | SD 204 in Bacolod, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Gensan, Iloilo) , with an encore at 1PM and also a replay at 11PM only on SKY.
