"We Were 16" highlights the forlorn echoes of a person’s what-ifs and the hope that one day, the lost love can be revived.
Male vocalist Tim Pavino relives the loving memoirs of a strayed young love in his newest single “
We Were 16,” released under ABS-CBN’s Star Music.
“The song speaks about a time in your life where you let go of your TOTGA (the one that got away) and you begin to reminisce the sweet memories as you move forward in life,” Tim explained.
The vibrant track that has a catchy melody paradoxically highlights the forlorn echoes of a person’s what-ifs and the hope that one day, the lost love can be revived.
“I hope it can be a reminder that no matter what happens, good or bad, there is always something special to look back on and be thankful for,” he added.
“We Were 16” was written and composed by Tim and ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo, who also produced the song with Theo Martel serving as its arranger.
Meanwhile, the
official music video of the track has also been released, which shows Tim driving to a beach, where he strolls the shores lightheartedly while inhaling and savoring the salty breeze of the sea.
Last June, Tim dropped the single “No More You and I,” a sentimental ‘90s slow jam-inspired track about the inevitable end of a relationship.
