Six Part Invention sang their hearts out after learning that “Everybody, Sing!” was finally greenlit after it was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.

“I cried because I thought impossible na talaga maipalabas because of this pandemic. Pero lagi ko nga sinasabi, God’s timing is always perfect,” said band member Kaye Malana.

Fellow band member Rey Cantong added, “Our prayers are finally answered. Sobrang saya. Minsan kahit ipilit natin if it’s not God’s will, hindi talaga mangyayari. Ngayon we can say that the show is very timely.”

“Everybody, Sing!” is indeed timely as it features various sectors of the community that are greatly affected by the pandemic like the grocery frontliners and fitness instructors that served as the Songbayanan on Saturday (June 19) and Sunday (June 20) via the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and iWantTFC.

Both groups got P30,000 in the jackpot round, besides the individual cash prizes they received in the other rounds. Vice Ganda also amused viewers again as she dressed up as Diana Ross and Betty Boop.

Six Part Invention is a veteran in the OPM industry and is the band behind hit songs “The Flame,” “Umaasa Lang Sa’Yo,” and “Falling In Love.” Their talent and experience is evident in the game show that’s always filled with fun, laughter, and surprises. That is why they prepare very well for each show as “mistakes are really not allowed,” shared Rey.

Speaking of their experience participating in the show, Ray and Kaye likened working with Vice Ganda in “Everybody, Sing!” to being in a comedy bar.

Kaye revealed that she is always happy and learning something new when working with Vice, whom she already met in “It’s Showtime” and other out of town gigs.

“Bilib ako kay Ate Vice kasi napakatalino. ‘Yung banter niya sa contestants ibang klase. Magaan siya katrabaho,” she said.

As for Rey, he likes working with Vice because of her impeccable professionalism.

“It’s always super fun to work with Ate, but at the same time the level of professionalism and artistry is high. ‘Yun ang gusto ko. Always pushing limits,” said Rey, who also dabbles as the show’s music arranger and does music arrangements for Vice.

An original concept of ABS-CBN, “Everybody, Sing!” is a uniquely Filipino game show that aims to underscore the importance of bayanihan and teamwork in communities especially during this pandemic.
