Using online shopping as a metaphor, Robi added that Filipinos must no longer fall for ‘scams’ as there is no ‘return to sender’ option after candidates are elected.
“Sana pagdating ng eleksyon, kung sino man ang na-add to cart mo, perfect fit siya sa’yo at sa values mo,” Robi explained.
Meanwhile, Aya Fernandez said that voting paves the way for positive change.
“We see a lot of problems going on. Sometimes it feels so overwhelming na parang, shucks may magagawa pa ba ako? Again, the good news is meron,” Aya reminded.
“List down the problems and compare it to the platforms of the candidates who are going to run. Nandoon ba ‘yung pagbabago na gusto niyong makita?” Aya said.
ABS-CBN Bayan Mo iPatrol Mo head Rowena Paraan and reporter Sherrie Ann Torres were also present at the event to share their expertise on citizen journalism and the role of the news media during elections.
Robi and Aya are Star Magic and BMPM's voter registration campaign ambassadors along with other Kapamilya stars. "TV Patrol" also reported last Friday (September 24) that P-Pop groups BGYO and BINI are now registered voters and they are also urging the youth to vote in next year's elections. The rising P-Pop sensations said that the country's development lies in the hands of Filipino voters.
