Popular loveteams Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, also known as DonBelle, and KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad, dubbed as KDLex, spread joy and love during the first two nights of “Kilig Match,” the latest series of the 100-day fund drive for the families affected by typhoon Odette.
Donny and Belle, who were in good spirits answering questions from viewers and host Darla Sauler, teased fans about the upcoming second season of "He's Into Her.”
"Season 2 is quite different from Season 1. We won't give anything away, but if season 1 was a rollercoaster, season 2 is a theme park," said Donny of the much-anticipated sequel to their hit series.
Belle added, "You can anticipate that our characters in the series will have matured.”
To the delight of the fans, Darla continued by asking if their friendship had developed as a result of spending more time together working on various projects.
"We are making sure that we are giving more than 100% here in He's Into Her,” said Donny. “We know our supporters and fans have been waiting for the new season and the least we can do is to give them something for them to enjoy. Nandoon kami ngayon, we are doing it all.”
DonBelle fans smashed all the kumu diamond targets needed for the two to perform the 'Movie Scene Rewind,' wherein they reenacted John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo's iconic scene from "A Very Special Love." They also did the compatibility challenge, compliment battle, and a duet of Belle's "Tanging Dahilan."
The following night, it was KD and Alexa who took the virtual stage to engage the fans. Darla did not waste time in inquiring how they have maintained their closeness after "PBB" and whether they are in love.
KD answered, "I'm in love with work."
On the other hand, Alexa asked fans to check one of her Instagram stories to know the status of her heart. "Check my IG stories, that is my answer. Check the latest one before the kumu post. I've read that recently, and I relate to it. You be the judge," she said.
The said post is about how people realize that someone can enter their lives unexpectedly and even if you resist falling in love again, you give in eventually.
Alexa was not able to hold back her tears and expressed, “I was deeply hurt before that I closed my heart. I am just happy that KD is here. He is a blessing."
KD also serenaded Alexa as he sang his version of "Paniwalaan Mo" of Blue Jeans while Alexa performed "Fall" by Justin Bieber.
Over 140,000 viewers tuned in to the "Kilig Match" of DonBelle while there were 129,000 viewers who watched KDLex on kumu's FYE Channel alone. Both shows were also streamed on ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, ABS-CBN Facebook page, and iWantTFC.
