Because of life’s hardships, many Filipinos are forced to do odd jobs to survive just like 52-year-old Christina ‘Kite’ Navarro, a pulot vendor for three decades. Despite her old age, Kite continues to be a pulot vendor because it’s the only way she knows how to make a living.

Kabayan also talks to snatcher-turned-pulot vendor Allan ‘Nog-nog’ Martinez. Allan says he decided to leave behind his old life as a snatcher after realizing that being a pulot vendor is a more noble job.

According to Kite and Allan, pulot vendors wash the scrap vegetables that they find on the streets of Divisoria before they sell it to customers. “KBYN” also gifted Kite and Allan with pedicabs that they can use in their everyday living.

Sunday’s “KBYN” episode will also feature young fire dancers. There’s 10-year-old Clyde Louise Basbas who is already an expert at dancing with fire, while 11-year-old Francis ‘Kiko’ Lee can do different acrobatic stunts.

Kabayan will also put the spotlight on Dr. Jason Abner Sumayaw, who dabbles in taxidermy, or the method of preserving dead animals. According to Dr. Jason, it takes three to six months to do taxidermy depending on the size of the animal, making it an expensive process.
