ABS-CBN, the country's leading content provider, continues to cement its legacy as one of the most duly recognized brands in the local media industry after its produced shows and beloved personalities took home a multitude of awards spanning different categories in film, TV, music, and social media during the recent 5th Village Pipol Choice Awards (VPCA).

The highest-grossing Filipino film "Rewind," co-produced by Star Cinema, APT Entertainment, and Agosto Dos Pictures, topped the film category as Movie of the Year, alongside its lead actress Marian Rivera taking home the Movie Actress of the Year, and director Mae Cruz Alviar as the Movie Director of the Year. Kapamilya star Janella Salvador also made her presence felt as Movie Supporting Actress of the Year for her portrayal in the co-Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry "Mallari."

Meanwhile, the recently concluded hit primetime series "Can't Buy Me Love" won as TV Series of the Year, with its lead pairing of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano also taking centerstage for their performances in the show—notching recognitions as Primetime TV Actor and Actress of the Year, plus their DonBelle loveteam continuing to sweep as Loveteam of the Year for three consecutive years, while their fans club Bubblies won another Fandom of the Year distinction.

Their "Can't Buy Me Love" co-stars also rose to the occasion, with Maris Racal as Breakthrough Star of the Year, Vivoree as TV Supporting Actress of the Year, and Karina Bautista as Most Promising Female Star of the Year.

Another Kapamilya tandem made waves in the afternoon TV scene as KDLex's KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad were each recognized for their performances in "Pira-Pirasong Paraiso," respectively winning Afternoon TV Actor and Actress of the Year.

The long-running Kapamilya newscast "TV Patrol" was hailed anew as the News Program of the Year for two years straight, alongside its resident Star Patroller MJ Felipe notching back-to-back News Reporter of the Year honors. Also taking home a distinction in the news scene is Star Magic artist Kaladkaren, who was hailed as Newscaster of the Year.

Kapamilya acts also emerged victorious in the music category, with Belle Mariano recognized as Performer of the Year for her "Beloved" concert in 2023 and OPM group BGYO as Group Performer of the Year, and "ASAP Natin 'To" artist Moira dela Torre winning Song of the Year for her single "Eme."

Apart from awards in film, TV, and music, more Kapamilya stars won awards as online content creators, with "High Street" actress Andrea Brillantes hailed as this year's YouTuber and TikTok Star of the Year, and Melai Cantiveros grasping the Viral TikTok Video of the Year honor for setting social media abuzz with her trending moments in the Asian Artists Awards 2023.
