SAN FRANCISCO, August 14, 2024 – It was a great weekend to celebrate culture.
As part of TFC’s year-long celebration of its 30th anniversary, TFC took part in the 31st Pistahan Parade and Festival, an international celebration of Filipino community, culture, and cuisine, presented by the Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE).
Special guest artists for the TFC30 Happy Hour were Maymay Entrata and BGYO.
Over the past three decades, Pistahan has grown from a modest local event into a major celebration that attracts thousands from across the Bay Area and beyond. Pistahan has become a key cultural fixture in the city, celebrating not just Filipino-American culture, but the spirit of community and shared heritage that defines San Francisco. This year’s theme is: “Embracing our Bayanihan Spirit.”

Maymay and the boys of BGYO all expressed their gratitude for the warmest welcome from San Francisco. ABS-CBN Global Marketing Head Pam Castillo shared her excitement: “This year’s Pistahan was truly special, not just because we are celebrating TFC’s 30th anniversary, but because of the incredible energy and passion that Maymay and BGYO brought to the event. It is a testament to the power of Filipino talent and the strong sense of community that TFC continues to foster worldwide.”
