Marc Nelson meets local heroes of nature in "Sustainable Living"

A five-episode special highlighting climate-friendly lifestyle
 
Marc Nelson gets up close and personal with individuals and groups behind innovative climate-friendly projects in the new season of “Sustainable Living,” airing on Metro Channel on Sundays at 8pm.  
 
“Sustainable Living: Heroes of Sustainability” a production of Metro Channel for its Sustainability and Regeneration Campaign in partnership with First Philippine Holdings, features eco-tourism spots, sustainable products, and innovative solutions that are meant to inspire lifestyle changes for the good of the environment.
 
In its first episode, Marc chatted with Illac Diaz, founder of Liter of Light, a project that transforms discarded plastic bottles into solar lamps.
 
The following episode showcases Marc’s talk with Anna Lagon, co-CEO and chief creative officer of Bayo, which became the first Filipino fashion retail brand to join the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
 
This Sunday (Feb. 16), viewers will get to know the success story of Jordy Navarra’s Toyo Eatery, a Flor De Caña Sustainable Restaurant Award winner for championing responsible and eco-friendly practices in the food industry.
 
Join Marc as he takes a stroll in the rich scenery of the Earth School in El Nido, Palawan next Sunday (Feb. 23). Founded and headed by David Esteban, it was built from bamboo walls and is one of the first pioneer schools to have sustainable and eco-conscious education.
 
Meanwhile, the founding farmer, CEO, and president of AGREA Agricultural Systems International, Inc. Cherrie Atilano introduces their Ecology of Dignity approach in “Sustainable Living” on March 2. Through their program, Cherrie aims to help eradicate poverty for farming and fishing families, alleviate the effects of climate change, and establish food security in the country.
