ABS-CBN won its third consecutive Platinum Award from Reader’s Digest’s annual “Trusted Brand Awards,” earning the highest stamp of approval from consumers and audiences.
The Platinum Awards won in the past three years follows ABS-CBN’s five-year winning streak for Gold Trusted Brand Award from 2010 to 2015.
The Reader’s Digest Platinum Brand Awards are given to “brands that perform exceptionally, winning heir category with a score that vastly out-polled their nearest competitor.”

More than 4,000 respondents in the Philippines were asked to participate in a “Trusted Brands Survey,” which rated each brand based on trustworthiness, credibility, quality, value, understanding of customer needs, innovation, and social responsibility.
Since its launch in 1998, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Award has sought to discover the majority’s preference and standards in buying or subscribing to a service by communicating with consumers who can vouch for each of the brands’ quality.
For the 2018 edition, Reader’s Digest commissioned global market research company Catalyst Research to survey about 8,000 individuals across five of the Asia-Pacific region’s key markets: Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. This year’s Trusted Brands Awards surveyed 54 categories of products and services from various industries including the most trusted personalities in the Philippines.
