An empowering track on self love…
This women’s month, multi-talented Janella Salvador makes her much-awaited comeback to recording with an empowering single entitled “Take It Easy” under Star Music.
With chill vibes and good pop beats, “Take It Easy” reminds listeners—especially women—to remain true to their selves, and to never let comparison get in the way of growth.
“I fell in love with it (the song) instantly. It’s not your typical love song. I love love songs, but for something new, I want my first single to be inspirational; yet still modern, still something that you would listen to. I’m happy with the message of the song,” said Janella.
The single, composed by Anton Juarez, signifies Janella’s highly anticipated return to the recording scene and is just first of the loads of music projects coming her way this 2019.
The singer/actress first started her musical path as the Himig Handog 2014 interpreter for “Mahal Kita Pero” written by Bobbie Mabilog, which won 3
rd Best Song. Her renditions of “Kapag Tumibok ang Puso” and “I Can” were also a hit; as was her self-titled debut album also under Star Music, which reached Platinum record award.
After being another Himig Handog interpreter for Karlo Zabala’s “Wow Na Feelings,” which won 4
th Best Song in 2017, Janella juggled international gigs. She was chosen to sing the Philippine version of Hong Kong Disneyland’s 10th Year Anniversary Celebration dubbed, “Happily Ever After” and Disney’s “Moana” theme song “How Far I’ll Go.”
“Take It Easy” was first released on iTunes and Apple Music. It also landed on Apple Flowcase across Southeast Asia including Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines last March 15.
