ABS-CBN is starting the new decade with a fresh international milestone as its hit afternoon TV series “Kadenang Ginto” gets an Indonesian remake via top Indonesian media company AnTV.
Titled “Putri Mahkota,” the remake debuted last January 5 and airs daily at 7:30 pm on the network. It is also the first Philippine drama to be adapted by AnTV.
“We’re excited for Indonesian viewers to welcome into their homes every night the story of ‘Kadenang Ginto.’ This groundbreaking achievement will continue to inspire ABS-CBN to roll out narrative formats that foreign audiences will love,” ABS-CBN International Distribution Asia sales head Wincess Gonzalez said.
“Kadenang Ginto” is about an intense dispute between the women of a prominent family known as the Mondragons. Its patriarch, Robert (Albert Martinez), marries a woman named Romina (Beauty Gonzalez) much to his daughter, Daniela’s (Dimples Romana), chagrin. Complicating matters is the fact that Daniela married Romina’s ex, Carlos (Adrian Alandy). Soon, both unions result in two additions to the family. Romina gives birth to Cassie (Francine Diaz), while Daniela gives birth to Marga (Andrea Brillantes). However, painful secrets from the past lie waiting to be revealed, leading to ruthless confrontations.
In 2019, “Kadenang Ginto” was also acquired by and is currently airing on Myanmar’s Sky Net.
