Episode records over 4M views on YouTube in less than 24 hours!
Filipinos were glued to their screens as they witnessed the death of Yassi Pressman’s character in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” after Alyana was shot in a crossfire that also left Cardo (Coco Martin) fighting for his life in Monday’s (January 25) episode.
The heartbreaking episode shattered the show’s own viewership record for a third consecutive night on Kapamilya Online Live as it reached over 102,000 peak concurrent viewers on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel. The episode has also amassed 4.1 million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.
The hashtag #FPJAP5HabangBuhay, “Alyana,” “Cardo,” and “Ang Probinsyano” also trended on Twitter Philippines as netizens expressed their grief over Cardo and Alyana’s tear-jerking scene where the two said their final goodbyes to one another in a dream.
Alyana’s efforts to save Cardo ultimately led to her death, as she ended up getting shot in the middle of the crossfire between Task Force Agila and the Black Ops unit just after she managed to run away from Lito (Richard Gutierrez) and learned about his plan to kill her husband.
While Alyana was unable to be revived, Cardo continues to fight for his life due to multiple gunshot wounds he obtained from Pol. Capt. Lia Mante (Jane de Leon) and Maj. Albert de Vela (Geoff Eigenmann).
Now that Alyana is dead, Lito’s anger towards Cardo has escalated as he is bent on continuing his evil plans of having Cardo killed. When will Cardo realize Lito’s true intentions? How long will Cardo and Task Force Agila be able to hide before they are gunned down again?
