"ASAP Natin 'To Las Vegas" on November 5: Why a Giant Filipino Concert is a Perfect Fit for the World's Capital of Entertainment

October 11, 2022 AT 08:05 AM

LAS VEGAS, October 10, 2022 - With less than a month to go, "ASAP Natin 'To Las Vegas" -- the biggest assemblage of top-notch Filipino performers in the U.S. this year -- is fast crescendoing into fever pitch level, with the highest two ticket tiers sold out already and more ticket tiers selling fast.

Ahh, Las Vegas! A city where the cheapest ticket to an Adele residency concert is $999, and where, as of this writing, there are presently no more available tickets to residencies of the likes of Katy Perry, Miranda Lambert, Usher, John Legend, Barry Manilow and even to novelty shows like "America's Got Talent Live Las Vegas" and "Drag Brunch at Senor Frog's"!

When it comes to entertainment right now, all roads simply lead to Las Vegas.

Thus, ABS-CBN Events, iWantTFC and TFC decided to bring the Philippines' biggest and longest running TV musical variety series and blockbuster globe-trotting live show, "ASAP Natin' To", to Las Vegas on November 5. The concert will be held at the Orleans Arena, the venue of over 200 big events every year and consistent Top 10 venue in ticket sales in the U.S. and internationally for venues of the same size.

LAS VEGAS: CENTER OF ENTERTAINMENT INNOVATION

"Las Vegas is the pre-eminent global capital of entertainment and gaming because the city managed to be always at the forefront of innovation," said ABS-CBN Global COO Aldrin M. Cerrado. "The most influential tech event in the world -- the Consumer Electronics Show or CES -- is always held in Las Vegas.  Guess which city has immediate access to that futuristic and forward-looking technology and has the capacity to implement and execute the soonest? Just look at Omega Mart, Immersive Van Gogh, Arcadia Earth, and of course, the magicians and Cirque du Soleil that redefined what a circus is."

Cerrado adds: "In addition, as the city government aggressively nurtures Las Vegas as a tech and entertainment hub that pushes boundaries and creates endless possibilities, this is an environment where a media company that's into live events like ours needs to learn, grow and thrive."

This is why the biggest names in entertainment continue to flock to Las Vegas and why more and more leading entertainment, tech and gaming companies, including top celebrities and athletes, are setting up base in the city.

One of the latest high-profile movers is actor-businessman Mark Wahlberg who just bought two sets of property in the area including $15-million land property.  He boldly said, "We want to create a lot of jobs and a lot of excitement. Hollywood 2.0".

HUGE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN LAS VEGAS
"Bringing 'ASAP Natin 'To' to Las Vegas just makes a lot of sense," said Cerrado. "Aside from the innovative and hospitality environment conducive for 360-degree entertainment, as far as the community is concerned, Nevada is the U.S. state with the fourth largest Filipino population with over 147,000 in Las Vegas alone. The first three are California, New York and Hawaii, but we've held ASAP already in those states, in California even twice.  So, Las Vegas is clearly the next logical stop in the U.S."

Cerrado added: "Next, Filipinos are the largest Asian American Pacific Islander group in Las Vegas.  ABS-CBN built a business of being in the service of the Filipinos wherever they are.  A massive opportunity for community representation via ASAP in Las Vegas can't be missed.  We want to serve that significant base."

ASAP: BRINGING WORLD-CLASS FILIPINO TALENT TO LAS VEGAS CENTERSTAGE
Cerrado however emphasized that "ASAP Natin' To in Las Vegas" goes beyond the Filipino community.

To date, "ASAP Natin 'To" is the the only Filipino show that has consistently packed world-renowned arenas, event centers and venues in cities like Singapore, Dubai, Los Angeles, London, New York, Toronto, Sydney, Honolulu, San Jose and Rome.

"The show gives both Filipino and non-Filipino concertgoers a clear understanding of what the immense talent pool the Philippines can and does offer to the entertainment industry and to the world," said Cerrado.

Even to those uninitiated to Filipino entertainment, a simple Google check will reveal how big and significant the line-up of "ASAP Natin 'To in Las Vegas" is (in alphabetical order): AC Bonifacio, Bamboo, Bailrok, Bailey May, Belle Mariano, P-pop groups BGYO and BINI, Cheesa Laureta, Darren, Dee Dee Magno Hall, Dessa, Donny Pangilinan, EZ Mil, Francisco Martin, Gary Valenciano, Janella Salvador, Jane De Leon, Jef Flores, Jessica Sanchez, Kiana V, Kim Chiu, Kyle Echarri, KZ Tandingan, Lovi Poe, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Rizza Navales, Red Concepcion, Regine Velasquez, Vaughn Mugol, and Zsa Zsa Padilla.

And there's more.

The cast is ready and raring to create its own brand of a Las Vegas act for an international audience.

"ASAP Natin 'To Las Vegas" promises to be massive watershed moment for the Filipino talent who truly deserves to shine on the Las Vegas centerstage and help define its diverse, immersive and hi-tech future in the world of entertainment.
