Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, and JC de Vera will continue to deliver quality entertainment as Kapamilya stars after they renewed their contracts with ABS-CBN at the “#GoodJob: The Showtime Kapamilya Contract Signing 2022” on March 23 (Wednesday).
Vhong is appreciative of ABS-CBN’s trust and support throughout his showbiz career and looks forward to reuniting with the “madlang people” as one of the current hosts of “It’s Showtime.”
"Hindi nila ako pinabayaan. Sabi ko nga, hindi ako bibitaw hangga't pinagkakatiwalaan ako ng ating mga boss," he said. “Excited ako kapag may madlang people nang magbabalik. Kulang kasi kapag napapanood lang tayo sa TV, dapat mapanood tayo ng live. At gagawin ‘yun ng ABS-CBN dahil gusto natin pasiyahin sila. Soon mangyayari iyon.”
JC expressed gratitude for the various projects offered to him by the network that honed his acting abilities.
“Maraming salamat for trusting me,” he said. “Natawag ko 'yung sarili ko na ‘versatile actor’ kasi nga lahat ng challenges na ibinabato sa akin, talagang sinusubukan kong gawin and until now I am still learning,” he reflected on his nine years as a Kapamilya.
On the other hand, Ogie Alcasid will continue bringing joy to viewers of “ASAP Natin ‘To” and “It’s Showtime.”
“I'm so honored that at this juncture of my career, I was given a chance again to do what I love to do and that is to sing every Sunday, to perform every Sunday, to make people laugh every single day. That gives me so much joy,” Ogie said. “This is where I started. And so I am just coming back home and I'm happy blessed that I am home and I'm here to stay.”
ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN chief operating officer of broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN entertainment production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, and ABS-CBN group chief financial officer Rick Tan were also present during the contract signing.
