Special trailer hits one million views in 24 hours
Primetime King Coco Martin and Ivana Alawi’s powerful tandem in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” have sent fans into a frenzy after ABS-CBN dropped a six-minute special trailer featuring more of their adrenaline-pumping action sequences that hit one million views in 24 hours.
The action-comedy series gave a glimpse of its fresh and highly-anticipated fight scenes as it topped its competitor in the national TV ratings for primetime TV with 24.4% last Monday (November 6), covering urban and rural homes, according to data from Kantar Media.
Coco, who is one of the directors, producers, and actors of the series, also treated viewers to a behind-the-scenes sneak peek while he was shooting some of the scenes that are featured in the special trailer. In the video, Coco is seen meticulously guiding his co-actors, stunt and camera directors, and giving instructions to Ivana on how they will execute their action scenes.
“Hinahanap na ng katawan namin ‘yung big scenes. Feeling ko ‘pag normal lang ‘yung eksena, parang naliliitan ako masyado. Nasanay na kami sa maraming tao, maraming crowd, sa magulong environment. Gusto namin ipakita ‘yung totoo,” shared Coco in an interview with “TV Patrol” on his excitement when it comes to shooting big scenes involving major characters.
Ivana also shared how thankful she is for Coco’s guidance since this is her first time doing all-out action stunts. “Kapag may mali ako, kunwari hindi ko siya nagagawa ng tama, sasabihan ako agad ni Coco,” she said.
Viewers can look forward to the coming episodes of “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” dubbed as the “quantum event” wherein major characters will finally cross paths in a highly emotional encounter. Among those are the intense face-offs between Ramon and Rigor (Christopher De Leon and John Estrada), and Tanggol, Chief Espinas, (Coco and Jaclyn Jose) and Rigor, the police chase involving Tanggol and Bubbles (Ivana), as well as the heart-wrenching confrontation scene of Tindeng and Mokang (Charo Santos and Lovi Poe).
