Judy Lou Benitez and RG Mia made history in the seventh season of "Tawag ng Tanghalan" after they were declared as daily champions twice last Friday (Sept. 15) and Saturday (Sept.16).
Viewers were in shock when Vice Ganda announced last Friday that Mindanao's Judy Lou and Luzon's RG tied after winning the hurados' hearts by singing "Price Tag" and "I Believe I Can Fly," respectively.
According to Vice, "For the very first time sa kasaysayan ng Tawag ng Tanghalan (Season 7), dalawa ang ating kampeon... Dalawa ang nasa tuktok!"
They both received an average score of 96.4%, which continued Judy Lou's winning streak, while RG secured his first win as a daily champion.
The same result happened the next day after they each got 94.6%, making Judy Lou a semifinalist in "TNT," while RG maintained his spot on the top and will defend his place this week.
Meanwhile, RG was still named the daily champion of the day today after receiving 95.4% score from the hurados. He needs one more win to join Judy Lou in the semifinals.
