ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading content provider, is set to captivate audiences once again with “Saving Grace,” the Filipino adaptation of Nippon TV’s acclaimed Japanese drama “Mother,” which will begin streaming on Prime Video starting November 28 (Thursday).
Produced by Dreamscape Entertainment, the team behind Prime Video’s hit “Linlang,” “Saving Grace” marks a historic first, becoming the inaugural Filipino adaptation of a Nippon TV title.
The series delves into the theme of a mother’s unconditional love while shedding light on the realities of child abuse and domestic violence.
Leading the cast of the powerful drama series is Julia Montes, one of the country’s most celebrated primetime actresses.
Julia portrays the gripping character of Anna, a teacher struggling to find purpose in life until she answers the call of help of her abused student, Grace, played by promising child star Zia Grace. But in a desperate attempt to save her student from the harsh abuse of her neglectful mother, Anna kidnaps Grace, which then stirs a nationwide manhunt against her.
The series boasts a star-studded cast, including Sam Milby, Jennica Garcia, Christian Bables, Elisse Joson, Eric Fructuoso, Andrez Del Rosario, Adrian Lindayag, Aya Fernandez, Sophia Reola, Ramon Christopher, Mary Joy Apostol, PJ Endrinal, Emilio Daez, Karl Gabriel, Jong Cuenco, Daisy Cariño, Lotlot Bustamante, Alma Concepcion, Fe De Los Reyes, and award-winning actresses Janice de Belen and Sharon Cuneta.
Since its original airing in 2010, Nippon TV’s “Mother” has achieved critical acclaim, becoming Asia’s most exported format that has spawned various iterations in Turkey, South Korea, Ukraine, Thailand, China, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Mongolia and Greece.
ABS-CBN chief operating officer, Cory Vidanes, expressed her delight as the Filipino adaptation of “Mother” is about to make its mark globally on Prime Video, a testament to ABS-CBN’s continuing commitment to tell meaningful stories to local and global audiences in various platforms.

Directed by FM Reyes and Dolly Dulu, "Saving Grace" premieres on November 28, with two new episodes dropping every Thursday only on Prime Video.
