Migs meets a former teacher who is now a successful gadget seller
Want to try meat-free but delicious meals this Lenten season?
Try soy-based dishes such as sisig, tocino, and adobo made by a vegetarian which Karen Davila features in "My Puhunan" this Saturday (March 2).
Camille Acosta started her business The Good Choices because of her Hare Krishna religion where they cannot eat any kind of meat. When she had her own family, she had a hard time finding food for her children, especially for breakfast. Because of this, she decided to make her own dishes using soybean.
Camille opened her own factory, but during the pandemic she moved the factory in her home and sold the products online and in bazaars.
Meanwhile, Migs will meet a public school teacher who has been known for more than a decade when it comes to low-priced gadgets in Taytay, Rizal. Jonalyn Obordo took a gamble in being a teacher and selling gadgets such as cellphones, laptops, tablets and others at her store All About Dioza.
Last year, Jonalyn decided to leave her profession and become a live seller. Now, she already manages a physical store in Taytay, Rizal which is visited by many customers everyday.
