ABS-CBN wins big at 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards

Global storytelling company ABS-CBN nabbed major honors, including the Phenomenal Box-Office King and Queen of Philippine Cinema titles for “Hello, Love, Again” stars Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, at the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

“Hello, Love, Again,” “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” “Lavender Fields,” and “ASAP” receive top honors
 
Global storytelling company ABS-CBN nabbed major honors, including the Phenomenal Box-Office King and Queen of Philippine Cinema titles for “Hello, Love, Again” stars Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo, at the 53rd Box Office Entertainment Awards of Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
 
"Hello, Love, Again" proved to be a box-office powerhouse as it earned multiple honors, including Best Ensemble Acting for Movies, Most Popular Film Producer for Star Cinema and GMA Pictures, Most Popular Film Director for Cathy Garcia-Sampana, Most Popular Screenwriters for Carmi Raymundo, Crystal Hazel San Miguel, and Olivia Lamasan, and Movie Supporting Actor of the Year for Joross Gamboa.
 
The action-packed series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo" was honored with the Popular TV Program–Primetime Drama award, with John Estrada taking home the trophy for TV Supporting Actor of the Year.
 
Meanwhile, "Lavender Fields" won Best Ensemble Acting for Television, while its lead stars, Jodi Sta. Maria and Jericho Rosales, were awarded Primetime TV Drama Actress and Actor of the Year, respectively. Janine Gutierrez was also named TV Supporting Actress of the Year for her compelling performance.
 
ABS-CBN's longest-running musical-variety show, "ASAP," also took home the Popular TV Program–Musical Variety Noontime/Primetime award.
 
Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, known to fans as "KimPau," were crowned Most Popular Love Team of Philippine Entertainment, while Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan, collectively known as "DonBelle," were named Princess and Prince of Philippine Entertainment. Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal's "MaThon" was also recognized as the Most Promising Love Team.
 
"It's Showtime" host Anne Curtis was likewise honored with the Female TV Host of the Year award, while Robi Domingo was named Male TV Host of the Year.
 
On the music stage, the nation's girl group BINI received the Concert of the Year and Recording/Streaming/Concert Performing Group of the Year honors, while OPM icons Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez were named Male and Female Concert Performers of the Year.
 
The Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation's Box Office Entertainment Awards honors outstanding personalities, films, and programs in Philippine media.
