The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) bagged two major awards at the 28th KBP Golden Dove Awards, with its flagship educational shows “MathDali Grade 1” and “Wow Bukidnon” winning Best Children’s Program and Best Culture and Arts Program, respectively.

Both shows were recognized for their meaningful contributions to education and culture, further reinforcing KCFI’s role in delivering curriculum-based, engaging, and accessible content for Filipino learners across the country.

The awards were presented by the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) on June 27 in Pasay City, celebrating excellence in Philippine radio and television broadcasting.

KCFI president and executive Director Rina Lopez expressed her gratitude for the recognition and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to early childhood learning through its programs.

“Receiving the Golden Dove awards for both ‘MathDali’ and ‘Wow! Bukidnon’ affirms the importance of creating content that makes learning fun, meaningful, and rooted in Filipino culture,” said Rina.

Hosted by Robi Domingo, “MathDali Grade 1” features interactive lessons that present mathematical concepts through games, sing-alongs, real-life demonstrations, and quizzes.

Developed in partnership with BDO Foundation and Huawei Philippines, the program expanded this year with ten new episodes aimed at enhancing numeracy skills among Grade 1 learners.

Meanwhile, “Wow Bukidnon,” which is part of the Knowledge Channel’s Wow series, showcases the rich cultural heritage and natural environment of the province of Bukidnon and promotes appreciation for local culture and environmental stewardship.

It is hosted by KCFI vice president Edric Calma and produced in partnership with Forest Foundation Philippines.

Aside from its two wins, KCFI also received citations for “Ready Set Read” as Best Children’s Show Finalist, “Ecoplay Game On: Larong Pinoy” as Best TV Sports Program Finalist, and “Puno ng Buhay” as Best TV Science and Technology Program Finalist.
