Barbie, River, Kolette, and more to join the action-packed series
Action-drama royalty Gerald Anderson is both pressured and grateful to make his directorial debut in the new season of “Sins of the Father,” which is currently the no. 1 most watched series on iWant.
“I was nervous at first, but they really made me feel at ease. The support I get from JRB, Direk FM Reyes and Bjoy, the management, especially Tita Cory and Direk Lauren—it’s so genuine, you can really feel it. In my 19 years, this is the first show where I didn’t have any doubts, because I know I’ve got people backing me up,” he reflected.
Gerald recounts how JRB Creative Productions offered him to direct an upcoming episode where his character Samuel will have to face 100 men to infiltrate Roldan’s (Joko Diaz) group.
“We had this improv meeting with JRB, and they mentioned there’s a one-versus-one-hundred scene. So I pitched a few storyline ideas to make it even better, and then they go, ‘Why don’t you direct it?’ I was like, ‘Sure!’—but honestly, I was so surprised,” he candidly shared.
“Gerald is such a hardworking director. He knows exactly what shots he wants, works with precision, and comes in fully prepared. His preparation was so extensive that everything ran quickly and smoothly. He’s truly earned all of our respect and admiration,” the series’ producers added.
Also joining Gerald in the action-packed series starting this week are Barbie Imperial, Binsoy Namoca, Dylan Yturralde, Eric Fructuoso, Joel Saracho, Junjun Quintana, Kolette Madelo, Lei Ang, Manuel Chua, Mel Martinez, Melissa Mendez, Reign Parani, Simon Ibarra, Zeppi Borromeo, and River Joseph.
