“The Silent Noise” wins Best Asian Content
ABS-CBN Studios and Prime Video’s collaborative series “The Silent Noise” won Best Asian Content at the recently concluded Global OTT Awards 2026 in South Korea, held last June 20.
The limited mystery-thriller series has bested entries from Thailand, Japan, China, and Taiwan—touted for using silence as a powerful storytelling tool and balancing gripping suspense with emotional depth. Receiving the award on behalf of the show was its show director, Onat Diaz, expressing gratitude to the award-giving body and to those who made the show possible.
“Winning this award will be very meaningful and encouraging for our team in the Philippines because it reaffirms our belief of fearlessly telling our stories with much passion, and create genuine interactions with our audiences that will cut across borders in different territories,” Onat shared in his acceptance speech.
This feat is a first win for the Philippines in the Global OTT Awards and in its Best Asian Content category.
On the other hand, its lead actress Angelica Panganiban earned a nomination in the Best Lead Actor (Female) category, competing with renowned talents from China, Japan, and South Korea.
The recently concluded Global OTT Awards pays homage to the platforms, creators, and programs leading the streaming media across drama, variety, and music, featuring 14 competitive and five invitational categories.
