Fave comedy films take over Blockbuster Sundays this month

COCO FUELS CINEMA ONE WITH ACTION-PACKED HIT MOVIES THIS JULY

Fresh from his much-awaited primetime comeback in “Sigabo,” Coco Martin takes over Cinema One this July with a lineup of blockbuster films packed with action, comedy, fantasy, and heart. 

From iconic heroes and crime-fighting adventures to laugh-out-loud family favorites, viewers can revisit some of his box-office hits in Friday Action, airing every Friday at 10 PM.

In “Ang Panday,” a humble blacksmith named Flavio (Coco) discovers that he is destined to wield a mystical sword and become the legendary Panday. As evil forces threaten the land, he embraces his fate and battles powerful enemies to protect the people he loves. Filled with action, fantasy, and heart, the film follows Flavio’s journey from an ordinary man to an extraordinary hero.

Coco teams up with Vice Ganda in “Beauty and the Bestie,” where they portray Emman (Coco) and Erika (Vice), two childhood best friends who drifted apart. As the unlikely pair embarks on a high-stakes mission filled with action, disguises, and hilarious mishaps, they discover that courage, loyalty, and friendship are their greatest strengths.

In “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles,” Jack (Coco) meets Em (Maine Mendoza) and Popoy (Vic Sotto), a father-daughter duo of police officers working to bring down a dangerous criminal network. Jack discovers the truth behind Em and Popoy’s family ties as their investigation unfolds with outrageous situations, hilarious misunderstandings, and explosive encounters, proving that even the most mismatched partners can get the job done.

Coco and Vice Ganda’s second movie team up “The Super Parental Guardians” brings together Paco (Coco) and Arci (Vice), who take on being the legal guardian of two kids after a tragic accident. Despite their clashing personalities and unconventional parenting styles, the pair learns to work together as they navigate the challenges of raising a family, discovering the true meaning of love, responsibility, and selflessness along the way.

Meanwhile, Blockbuster Sundays brings together some of the unforgettable comedy hits that will keep you laughing throughout your Sunday movie night at 7pm. Catch “The Mall, The Merrier” on July 5, “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity” on July 12, “Da One That Ghost Away” on July 19, and “Love or Money” on July 26.

Cinema One spotlights the Rom-Com Heartthrobs, the leading men that captivated the hearts of viewers through their hit romantic movies. Catch Joshua Garcia’s “Vince & Kath & James” on July 6, James Reid’s “Talk Back and You’re Dead” on July 7, Enrique Gil’s “My Ex and Whys” on July 8, Daniel Padilla’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” on July 9, and Gerald Anderson’s “Always Be My Maybe” on July 10, which airs Monday to Thursday at 7pm and Friday at 8pm.
