Star Magic goes global and officially raises the stakes for its annual All Star Magic Games. In a media conference held at the ELJ Communications Center on July 9. 2026 and livestreamed across Star Magic’s official digital platforms, the event gave fans a first look at the official rosters, training updates, and exciting previews for the first ever Philippine and Thailand match.
In a historic move, Star Magic artists will play against Thailand’s GMMTV actors in an unprecedented basketball showdown that will take place on August 23, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Leading the Team Star Magic Shooting Stars is playing coach Gerald Anderson, who expressed his pride in being part of this landmark event.
“This is going to be an amazing event. ABS-CBN is still proving that even with all the [challenges] we went through, we are still the number one company and continue to break records. I’ve been doing this for so long, but to be part of this specific one is really a privilege. This is two cultures coming together.”
Anderson emphasized that this year’s All-Star Games represent more than just competition, serving as a celebration of sportsmanship, collaboration, and cultural exchange between the Philippines and Thailand.
GMMTV’s popular twin actors AJ Jutamas and JJ Jutamas also joined the conference virtually from Bangkok to express their excitement, noting that they are eager to face the Star Magic Philippines team.
Team Star Magic is headed by Gerald Anderson, Ronnie Alonte, Jeremiah Lisbo, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, Ashton Salvador, Argel Saycon, Elyson De Dios, JV Kapunan, Tristan Ramirez, and reigning Rookie of the Year JM Ibarra. They will face Team GMMTV Thailand, consisting of AJ, JJ, Neo, Joss, Gawin, Ryu, Aston, Marc, Ping, and Teshow.
Beyond the headline basketball showdown, the Star Magic All-Star Games 2026 will also feature the Junior Basketball Game and the Volleyball Game.
The Junior Basketball Game will shine in the hardcourt and showcase their athleticism and teamwork. Team Blue, also joined by Jeremiah Lisbo, features Iñigo Jose, Fred Moser, Dustin Mayores, Jan Silva, Dylan Ytturalde, Binsoy Namoca, Bryce Andres, Rocky Labayen, Ice Almeria and Rave Victoria. They will go head-to-head against Team Red, composed of Seth Fedelin, Joaquin Arce, Josh Worsley, Marc Santiago, Lance Lucido, Andrez Del Rosario, Miggy Jimenez, Marc Nanninga, Rob Blackburn, Russu Laurente, JP Cabrera and Robbie Jaworski.
The volleyball segment promises an intense face-off between the Lady Warriors Blue Team and the Lady Spikers Red Team. The Lady Warriors Blue Team is led by Captain Ball Reign Parani alongside Jas Dudley-Scales and Kolette Madelo, with a star-studded line-up including Loisa Andalio, Anji Salvacion, Isabel Laohoo, Aya Fernandez, Janah Zaplan, Leona Andalio and Rain Celmar. They will go against the Lady Spikers Red Team, featuring Lella Ford, Vivoree, and all-time MVP Analain Salvador will also be joined by Magui Ford, Ai Dela Cruz, Gillian Vicencio, Sophie Reyes and Fyang Smith.
First launched as an annual celebration of camaraderie and sportsmanship among Star Magic artists, the annual All-Star Games has become one of the talent management’s flagship events, showcasing the artists’ athletic side beyond the screen.
