ABS-CBN programs, personalities get seal of approval from Anak TV Awards

ABS-CBN got the seal of approval from Anak TV Awards, which honored 31 of its programs and artists for embodying value-laden, child-sensitive, and family-friendly themes.

ABS-CBN got the seal of approval from Anak TV Awards, which honored 31 of its programs and artists for embodying value-laden, child-sensitive, and family-friendly themes.

Leading the winners in the prestigious awards, which covers the entire nation, are recipients of the Anak TV Seal including ABS-CBN entertainment shows “ASAP,” “Bagani,” “Home Sweetie Home,” “Little Big Shots, “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” “Magandang Buhay,” “Matanglawin,” “Team YeY,” “Wansapanataym,” and “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” as well as collegiate sports and lifestyle program “Upfront,” which airs on ABS-CBN’s sports channel S+A.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN’s educational channel Knowledge Channel also nabbed three Anak TV Seals for shows “Wow,” “Agricoolture,” and “MathDali.”

ABS-CBN Regional programs “Maayong Buntag Kapamilya,” “Magandang Umaga South Central Mindanao,” and “Marhay na Aga Kapamilya” also got the Anak TV Seal.

On the other hand, Kapamilya artists Robi Domingo, Joshua Garcia, Luis Manzano, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Susan Roces, Liza Soberano, and “Bantay Bata 163” founder and “G Diaries” host Gina Lopez were recognized as role models for the youth and were named this year’s Makabata Stars.

The advocacy organization that “promotes television literacy and pushes the agenda for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines” also recognized Kapamilya programs “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “It’s Showtime,” “TV Patrol,” “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” “Bagani,” and “Magandang Buhay” for being household favorites of Filipino families.

The Anak TV Awards are given by ANAK TV, an advocacy organization that promotes television literacy and pushes the agenda for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the Philippines. The Anak TV Seal is a national award voted on by parents, educators, business and media professionals, government, media, NGOs, the religious sector, and youth to be given to child-sensitive programs airing on Philippine television.
