A fresh take on Yeng’s self-love anthem
Lance Busa sends a powerful message about self-love in his own rendition of Yeng Constantino’s original song “Ako Muna,” released under Star Pop.
The “Idol PH” third placer first rendered a heartfelt rendition of the song in the competition’s live round in 2019, a performance that made a mark among his followers.
“This is the new version which I hope you’ll all love, because this song is for self-improvement, seeing your importance, and self-love,” Lance said in an Instagram live for the song’s drop.
“Ako Muna,” an empowering anthem about healing and choosing oneself after a painful experience in life, was written and composed by Yeng as part of her 2018 “Synesthesia” album. Lance’s version was produced by Star Pop head Rox Santos and arranged by Tommy Katigbak.
In 2020, Lance released his debut single under Star Music “Sa Aking Mundo,” which was penned by songwriter-producer KIKX Salazar for his “After Dark ‘The Final Hour’” EP.
