Kabayan discovers backyard catfish and eel farming this Sunday
Almost a year after super typhoon Odette ravaged Southern Leyte, the “KBYN” team travels to Brgy. Bobon and get to know the state of their livelihood. Because their fishing boats were destroyed during the typhoon, they still struggle to return to their normal way of living until now.
As a way of giving hope to typhoon Odette victims, Kabayan Noli de Castro, along with ABS-CBN Foundation and Lingkod Kapamilya, donates a new boat to Leyte fishermen in this Sunday's (August 21) episode of “KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan.”
Meanwhile, "KBYN" learns about profitable eel and catfish farming. Vice Mayor Martin Angeles of Bustos, Bulacan shares his business, which cultivates and sells catfishes, the second most popular fish in the country next to tilapia. On the other hand, Arnel Alfaro, a former helper from Laguna, tells his story on how he made it big in the eel farming industry.
Viewers can also venture into this fish business because eel and catfish farming can easily be done in the backyard.
Catch these stories on "KBYN: Kaagapay ng Bayan" with Noli de Castro this Sunday, July 24, at 5PM on A2Z, TeleRadyo, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, youtube.com/ABSCBNNews and news.abs-cbn.com/live.
