- Choosing to stay amidst being lost in “Alagaan” by Ben Mara
Ben Mara offers a heartfelt take on quiet enduring love in his new single “Alagaan.” The alternative track speaks about choosing to stay for someone in their most vulnerable moments. It was composed by Ben and produced by Angelo Zipagan. Coming from a family of artists, Ben began writing and performing music at a young age and previously served as guitar head of Ateneo Musicians Pool, drawing inspiration from Rico Blanco, John Mayer, Ichyworms, and Jimi Hendrix while shaping his own sound. He released his first DNA Music single “Exam” last year.
- Finding escape and their way back to love in “Byahe Ng Jeep” by Dan Lagroma
Dan Lagroma reflects on longing and hope in his introspective new single “Byahe Ng Jeep.” Dan wrote and produced the alternative song, which uses a jeepney ride as a metaphor for escape and the search for love. Last February, he released the extended play (EP) “Throwback Vol. I” last February, a collection of his soothing song covers. He also dropped two singles under DNA Music, “Kalahati” and “Ivana.”
- A gamble on love in “Ipakita Mo Lang” by Dan Martel
Dan Martel explores the risks and uncertainties of love in his new song “Ipakita Mo Lang,” a track that captures the tension between hesitation and desire where trust becomes the ultimate gamble. Composed by Dan and Joseph Ponce and produced by Dan Simon, the song serves as a reminder that sometimes, love is worth taking a chance on. Known for his indie-alternative sound, the Marikina-based singer has released singles such as “Ibang Planeta” and “Palayo Sa Daigdig.”
- Cluelessly in love in “Aguy!” by Izza Escueta
Izza Escueta delivers a playful take on unrequited love in her debut single “Aguy!” The pop-rock track turns unread messages and unreturned feelings into a catchy, relatable anthem. Izza composed the song with Ryan Sarmiento taking on its productions, which highlights her vibrant sound and youthful storytelling. Based in Mindanao, Izza is known for her distinct pop-rock style, marking a promising entry into the OPM scene.
- Holding on to memories but letting go in “Wala Na” by Nico Crisostomo
“Idol Philippines” season 2 alum Nico Crisostomo channels heartbreak and longing in his emotional OPM ballad “Wala Na.” The latest single is about holding on to memories, while learning to let go. Nico penned the track with Kevin Yadao, Roly Halagao, and Angelo Zipagan, who also served as its producer. In 2025, the Caviteño singer launched his debut single “Dahan-Dahan” under DNA Music and draws inspiration from artists like Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran.
