ABS-CBN’s sustainability practices earn nods

ABS-CBN’s success in recycling 100% of the water it uses in its main office compound—ensuring that not a single drop goes to waste—has earned the company a Bantayog ng Lawa Award from the Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA).

The LLDA recognized ABS-CBN for its strong commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment through effective water conservation and responsible waste management.

With its innovative water recycling system, ABS-CBN is able to clean and reuse all of its wastewater for non-drinking purposes, such as maintaining facilities and landscapes. This effort helps conserve valuable water resources while reducing the company’s environmental footprint.

The LLDA also cited ABS-CBN’s full compliance with government regulations on water discharge, an indicator that the company is operating responsibly and sustainably.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company were property management mechanical engineering and environmental managing head Jay de la Cruz and pollution control officer Philip So Morales.

The Laguna Lake Development Authority is a government agency that promotes sustainable development in the Laguna de Bay region while protecting the environment for future generations.
