Showing in over 510 cinemas worldwide
Star Cinema’s newest family drama film, “Meet, Greet & Bye,” has kicked off its theater run with P10.5 million in box office sales on its opening day (November 12).
Now showing in 510 cinemas worldwide, the heartwarming movie directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana stars Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Belle Mariano, Juan Karlos, and Maricel Soriano.
The film has already drawn early acclaim from audiences for its heartfelt relatability, raw honesty, and emotional highs and lows.
“It was a rollercoaster film full of joy, sadness, and the right amount of sappiness,” described lawyer Jesus Falcis.
“Grabe ‘tong pelikulang ito. Hindi kinaya ng tissue ang pag-iyak ko habang nanunuod. Tagos sa puso ko ang mga eksena dahil naalala ko noong inalagaan ko pa ng halos dalawang taon ang mother ko dahil nagkasakit siya,” said vlogger Allan Sancon.
“The film’s emotional weight settles in the background details: the small, resonant gestures, the offhand jokes, the long silences. These unspoken truths and human moments are what make the film crushingly real,” wrote Ralph Revelar Sarza of Walphs.com.
“Its theme may be sad and heavy, pero dahil sa galing ng script, you still see those small bursts of hope and happiness sa gitna ng mga pagsubok. Dahil doon, mas nakaka-relate ang manonood – kasi gano’n talaga ang buhay, masaya na malungkot, mahirap na masarap,” posted by the Maganda Ba? blog that described the film as “Napaka Ganda.”
“Meet, Greet & Bye” is screening in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East beginning today (November 13), and will be showing in the US, Canada, and Guam starting tomorrow (Nov. 14).
Other screenings include the UK, Ireland, and Austria on Nov. 15; Italy and France on Nov. 16; Greece on Nov. 22; and Spain on Nov. 23. Moviegoers can also catch the movie in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Brunei, and Papua New Guinea this month and in Cambodia on December 12.
