Robi Domingo honored with a Hall of Fame award
ABS-CBN received 29 honors, including a Hall of Fame recognition for Robi Domingo, at the 2025 Anak TV Awards, which celebrate child-friendly programs and personalities trusted by Filipino families.
ABS-CBN’s primetime noontime show “It’s Showtime,” along with game show “Rainbow Rumble,” children’s program “Goin’ Bulilit,” reality talent competition “Pilipinas Got Talent Season 7,” and public service program “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” received the Anak TV Seal for their child-friendly content.
“TV Patrol” and “Superbook,” meanwhile, bagged a Network Television Favorite Program honor, while “Patrol ng Pilipino” nabbed a Network Online Child-Friendly Program award.
Award-winning host Robi Domingo earned his spot in the Hall of Fame for being a Makabata Star honoree for seven years. “This Hall of Fame award is not just a milestone, it is a challenge. A challenge to be there to tell stories that uplift, use my voice for good, and to remain a positive influence for the youth who will one day shape our country,” he shared in his acceptance speech.
Belle Mariano, Donny Pangilinan, BINI Aiah Arceta, Darren Espanto, Joshua Garcia, and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco were hailed as Makabata Stars for embodying values that Filipino children can emulate.
The Net Makabata Awards recognize online personalities who, netizens believe, serve as excellent role models for children. Among the winners from ABS-CBN are veteran actor Albert Martinez, Alexa Ilacad, Anji Salvacion, Bianca de Vera, BINI, BGYO, Brent Manalo, Christian Bables, Donny Pangilinan, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, Kai Montinola, Kyle Echarri, and Rain Celmar.
“The Anak TV Awards are more than just trophies—they are awards from Filipino families that inspire all of us in ABS-CBN to continue serving the Filipino people with meaningful content,” shared ABS-CBN head of Corporate Communications Kane Errol Choa.
The Anak TV Awards program is given by Anak TV, an organization that advocates for child-sensitive, family-friendly television in the country. The Anak TV Seal helps ensure parents that the programs being aired are suitable for children. The Makabata Star awardees, meanwhile, were voted on during the various symposia on media literacy and program screenings conducted by Anak TV in major schools and universities across the country. The Net Makabata award is based on the results of online voting held from 14-18 November, where netizens cast their votes for personalities they deem help positively shape and influence the lives of children and netizens.
