Knowledge Channel to award “Class Project” mini-documentary contest winners

ABS-CBN, together with the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), is holding its Pinoy Media Congress on April 24-25 at the University of Makati, including the awarding of "Class Project" intercollegiate mini-documentary competition winners by Knowledge Channel.

Now on its 20th year, ABS-CBN's Pinoy Media Congress will bring together the country’s leading media experts to share their knowledge and expertise. They will interact with up to 1,000 communication students and professors on current media trends and issues as well as help prepare them for a career in the media industry.

Signing a memorandum of agreement were ABS-CBN vice president for Corporate Communications Kane Errol Choa, PACE president Mark Lester Chico, and University of Makati president Dr. Elyxzur Ramos.

Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and PACE also entered into a partnership for "Class Project," an intercollegiate mini-documentary competition for Filipino college students to explore the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The top three placers and five finalists will be announced at the Pinoy Media Congress.

Present at the signing of a memorandum of agreement are KCFI president and executive director Rina Lopez and PACE’s Mark Lester Chico.

Launched in 2017, “Class Project” is an intercollegiate mini-documentary contest that aims to spotlight relevant social issues and provide student producers and content creators a platform to showcase their storytelling skills.

ABS-CBN launched the Pinoy Media Congress in 2005. The annual event has won in the Philippine Quill Awards given by the International Association of Business Communicators Philippines and the Anvil Awards given by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.
